Information we collect

When you check a license we process the details you enter (such as a license number or name) only to return a result. When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, the subject line and your message so we can reply.

If you request the full details of a license or licensing guidance, we collect your email address and country, and the license record you asked about, so we can contact you with the next steps. This site does not process payments or collect payment card details; payment for the $5 fee is arranged with you by email after you contact us.

Our servers also use your IP address to limit repeated requests and prevent abuse, and it is included in the notification we receive when you send a message. Counters used for this are cleared automatically after a short time.

How we use it

We use this information to operate the license check, respond to enquiries and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information.

License records

License records are held by the registry and shown only to confirm status, holder name and related details for verification purposes.

Retention and your rights

We keep enquiry messages only as long as needed to handle them. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information through the contact page or by emailing support@cclc.org.
