Purpose of the service

This site lets clinics, employers and licensing bodies check whether a certified counselor's license is genuine and currently active, based on records held on file.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the service only for lawful verification purposes and not to attempt to scrape, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its records.

Fees and payment

Checking whether a license exists and is active is free. We charge a one-time fee of $5 for two optional extras: the full details of a license record (license number, type, issuing authority, country, state, institution and expiry), and information on how and where to acquire a license.

This site does not have an online checkout and does not take payment automatically. Submitting a request or contacting us does not complete a purchase. After you get in touch, we will email you the next steps and how to pay, and we release the information only once payment has been arranged and received. Please do not expect instant delivery.

If we are unable to provide the information you paid for, we will refund the fee in full. Once the information has been delivered, the fee is not refundable. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@cclc.org.

Accuracy

We work to keep records current, but results reflect the registry at the time of the check. Confirm critical decisions with the relevant licensing board.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on a result.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
